Elizabeth Savage moved to Michigan in January of 2022. She's originally from southern Indiana near Evansville. She was a high school English teacher at Mt. Carmel, Illinois, near Vincennes, Indiana. She has Bachelor’s degrees in Creative Writing and English Teaching from USI, a Master’s degree in Mental Health from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master’s of Fine Arts in Poetry from Sewanee: The University of the South.

She lives in Grosse Pointe with her husband, Darren and their cat, Bob Ross. Elizabeth has one son, Chase, one daughter-in-law, Judy, and two grandsons, Luca and Kit who all live in Evansville, Indiana. In her spare time, Elizabeth reads, writes, and collects yarn with every intention of knitting. Since moving to Michigan, Elizabeth and her husband enjoy boating on lakes St. Clair and Huron on their boat, The Chiller Margin.

True Tigers fans will recognize Evansville, Indiana, as the location of the farm team The Triplets (1974-1984). Lance Parrish and Kirk Gibson are the most noteworthy players to have worn the Triplets uniform. Since Elizabeth and Darren Savage both watched the Triplets as kids, they were naturally Tigers fans when they moved to Detroit.
