St. John’s has historically raised money for the growth of the academic community in Malawi, for which Bishop Biggers has always been very grateful. In 2019, the funds raised for Malawi were given to help the people recover from the devastation of a cyclone (Idai) combined with torrential rain and subsequent flooding. St. John's parish continues to give in support of building the academic community and the people.
