St. Catherine’s Guild

Through a wide variety of projects – all of which promote fellowship and build community within the parish – the Guild raises funds to support various community programs including Crossroads, Salvation Army, Mariners Inn and St. Michael’s Youth Conference scholarship program to name a few.
Our projects include Christmas Cookie Walk, Warm & Fuzzy Tree (mittens & scarves), Toiletry Bags for people in need, Thanksgiving and Easter pie sales, potluck luncheons, Thanksgiving Day Doughnut & Hot Chocolate Sale, Malawi Fall/Spring Ingathering, and Trash to Treasure (Rummage) sales.
All women are welcome to join and be an active part of the Guild!

Toiletry Project Update:
The ladies of the Guild met Friday, July 7 in the Undercroft to stuff bags of toiletries for various groups in the Detroit-Metropolitan area. This successful outreach project filled 69 backpacks and bags for people in need in our community to be donated as follows:
20 - Mariner's Inn - shelter and treatment center for the homeless
20 - Noah Project (Central Methodist Church) - helps meet the basic needs of homeless people
16 - Ellie's House - combatting human trafficking
13 - Georgia Street Community Collective -rebuilding the health, education, leadership, and protection of the community
