The Rev. Fr. Steven J. Kelly, SSCOn Wednesday, January 3, 2001, the Octave Day of the Feast of St. John, the Vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Detroit, issued a call to The Rev. Fr. Steven J. Kelly, SSC, to become her thirteenth Rector since 1858.  Father Kelly is a graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary, served his curacy at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and was the Rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Charleroi, Pennsylvania.  Fr. Kelly is no stranger to the Detroit metropolitan area.  He grew up in Troy, Michigan and graduated from St. Mary’s Preparatory school in Orchard Lake, Michigan.
